My role as an MC
I will not only host and facilitate the evening, but also oversee on-the-day coordination by liaising closely with all vendors—including the photographer, videographer, florist, firecracker team, and other key suppliers—to ensure every aspect runs seamlessly, on time, and to the highest standard. I will also communicate with th parents to understand their expectations and thoughtfully incorporate any family traditions into the ceremony where appropriate.
Summary of Services:
• Initial consultation prior to the event to customise and tailor the experience (via phone and email)
• Two-hour Zoom or Microsoft Teams planning meeting (4–6 weeks prior to the wedding)
• Unlimited communication between the MC and the couple via phone and email
• Detailed running sheet, editable from the consultation date up to two weeks before the event
• Translation of speeches English/Vietnamese
• Full collaboration with vendors and venue manager(s)
• Professional MC hosting and comprehensive on-the-day coordination

Tea Ceremony
Here's a breakdown of what you'll need:
The Gift Trays
In a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony, the 6 or 8 gift trays (mâm quả) usually include the following items. The exact selection can vary by family and region, but these are the most common:
What’s Included in the Gift Trays?

Betel leaves & areca nuts – Symbol of love, loyalty, and marriage

Tea & wine – Offered to ancestors and elders as a sign of respect

Wedding cakes (bánh phu thê / bánh xu xê) – Represent harmony and a lasting bond

Fruit tray – Symbol of fertility, prosperity, and abundance

Roasted pig or chicken (optional / traditional) – Represents sincerity and family unity

Xôi (sticky rice) – Signifies fullness and a prosperous life together

Trà, rượu, or sweets – For blessings and celebration

Jewellery tray – Includes gold rings, necklace, bracelets, or earrings for the bride
The Procedure

The Altar
The altar is prepared to honour ancestors and seek their blessings. It is typically set with the couple’s ancestral tablets or photos, incense, candles, tea, wine, fresh flowers, and symbolic offerings such as fruit or cakes. The setup is kept neat, respectful, and beautifully arranged to reflect gratitude and family traditions.

I am based in Melbourne, but I've had the pleasure of working both across Australia and overseas. I love travelling so destination weddings and functions are always a delight for me.
